Life in Adtech: Helping Clients Become Programmatic Experts

In our blog series “Life in Adtech” we’re showcasing the different ways in which StackAdapters are driving innovation in adtech, and creating a progressive tech culture. From using modeling and data to create advanced algorithms to building stylish and robust user interfaces, everyone at StackAdapt is contributing to evolving the StackAdapt platform and providing the best product and service to our clients.

This month features Sneha Suhas, a Product Marketing Specialist at StackAdapt. Having joined StackAdapt in early 2022, Sneha shares her journey into adtech, what onboarding at StackAdapt has been like, and how her role supports the success of StackAdapt.

Can you share a bit about your journey into working in adtech?

I started my career working in sales for a media company. I realized while in that role that I really enjoyed the creative side of media, and so I transitioned into creating digital content while performing comedy. I even got to design, produce, and host my own radio show for one of the most popular channels in India.

After a few years in radio I decided to earn a master’s degree in communications. When I completed my studies, I took the opportunity to work in educational content development for a B2B SaaS company. Joining StackAdapt when I moved to Canada was the perfect fit for me, because it combines much of my past experience with an opportunity to grow in the adtech space.

Tell us about your role, Product Marketing Specialist. What does it entail?

I work on the Education and Development team to create educational content for the StackAdapt Academy. The StackAdapt Academy is an online education resource that offers a deep dive into the skills needed to become an expert in programmatic, as well as the StackAdapt platform.

Our goal is to use the StackAdapt Academy, as well as our podcast, How Agencies Thrive, to educate our clients on how to use the StackAdapt platform, best practices, effective strategies and inform on new feature releases. We also provide opportunities for those who are not StackAdapt users to learn about the adtech industry and act as an education gateway to programmatic advertising.

Working on the StackAdapt Academy and How Agencies Thrive have been such exciting projects for me because they’ve given me the opportunity to come up with new ideas and see them through to execution. It’s been really amazing to feel, even in just my first few months here, that my ideas are valued by my team.

How does the Education and Development team contribute to the growth and success of StackAdapt?

Through education, we’re able to help our clients become experts in using the StackAdapt platform. We want to make sure they know the strategies that won’t just make them successful, but will help them build or expand their books of business. Empowering them to be self-sufficient power users means that they will continue to trust and use our platform, which helps fuel StackAdapt’s growth!

What is one of your favourite Education and Development initiatives so far, and why?

It’s tough to choose because I think all our initiatives are so great. Given my background in radio, I really enjoy working on the How Agencies Thrive podcast. I think that audio is such an accessible and engaging format for learning, which is why I’m so passionate about it!

The podcast launched two seasons ago, and since the beginning, we’ve consistently featured a number of industry leaders and StackAdapt experts to talk about adtech trends and strategies, in an entertaining way. I’m excited to contribute to this success by continuing to collaborate with the team on the upcoming seasons!

You joined StackAdapt in early 2022. What was your experience onboarding into a new role at a new company like?

The two week onboarding program was very thorough, which was super helpful for me because I’m new to the adtech space. Every day I attended several virtual sessions that were led by leaders from different StackAdapt teams. The sessions covered the purpose of every StackAdapt team, how they contribute to the success of StackAdapt, and the basics of programmatic.

The onboarding process was so efficient, it got me up to speed with all things StackAdapt and adtech fast. I was actually part of one of the biggest onboarding cohorts that StackAdapt had to date which meant I also had a chance to meet lots of new StackAdapters from different teams. The program prepared me well to start my role and I often find myself going back to the resources I received and learnings I took away from the entire program.

What has been the most exciting part of your first few months at StackAdapt?

The most exciting part? The StackAdapt swag that I received! Just kidding, but I did really appreciate receiving that welcome package. The most exciting part has been seeing how open to new ideas my team is. It feels great to know that I’m trusted with the responsibility of executing new ideas and possibilities. It’s also been exciting to watch the company grow. This growth means there will be plenty of opportunities to learn new skills, and I’m looking forward to that!
